All modules will launch in early July for new UCF summer and fall students. New students will receive an email to their @ucf.edu email address with access instructions and deadlines for completion. The subject line of the email will be: “Avoid a Hold: Finish Your UCF Modules” with information about the 5 module programs assigned and deadlines.

Hazing Prevention 101™ Course – College Edition 2025

UCF is ‘Leading the Charge against Hazing’ by implementing prevention and intervention programs that focus on strengthening the UCF community. One of our programs is ‘Hazing Prevention 101 Course-College Edition 2025,’ an online course, reflecting best practices established by leading academics studying hazing prevention. Created in partnership with Hazing Prevention Network to provide evidence-based, best practices that teach you how to recognize, prevent, and report hazing. The course has been made available for all students in the state of Florida.

Access instructions

  • Go to: https://ucf.prevent.zone/
  • Click on the ‘Access your training’ link.
  • Log in using your UCF Federated Identity using your NID and password (this screen should look familiar to you).
  • Click on the Hazing Prevention 101™ Course – College Edition course, which is the first course listed. You are not required to complete the Fraternity and Sorority Life module or the Athletics module unless you have been instructed otherwise.
  • Follow the instructions to start the modules.
  • Proceed through each module and complete the quiz and final survey at the end.
  • Once you have completed the final survey, you will receive a certificate of completion.
  • Please save and/or print out the certificate for your records as proof of completion.

Hazing is a serious matter, and if you feel you or someone you know has been hazed, report it using one of the methods below:

  • First-Time-In-College (FTIC) Freshmen and Transfer students are strongly encouraged to complete the Hazing Prevention 101™ Course – College Edition.
  • All UCF students, faculty and staff are encouraged to complete the module.

  •  Take advantage of opportunities during National Hazing Prevention Week in the fall semester and Leadership Week in the spring semester.

For First-Time-In-College (FTIC) and Transfer admitted students:

  • Once you successfully complete the module you will receive an electronic certificate. You do not need to send in this certificate.  Please keep if for your records.
  • The requirement is not automatically removed from your to-do-list after successful completion of the program. It will be auto-removed from your to-do list in mid to late September.
  • Hazing prevention does not place holds on student accounts for not completing the module.
